I’m Rebecca, the illustrator behind The Bear Haus.
I trained as a graphic designer and have worked in the creative industry for more years than I care to add up! My early career shaped how I see the world around me, I've always been drawn to colour, form and space, it bolsters everything I create.
The illustrations and paintings I create are rooted in the quiet details of the natural world — botanicals, landscapes and the rhythms of nature in my surroundings. My pieces are designed to bring a sense of calm and a connection to nature into daily life.
Morning runs are a good example of where my inspiration comes from. Multiple stops to capture a cherry blossom or tree branch to my camera roll. My illustrations then take shape by combining organic forms and clean lines, creating a balance between simplicity and detail.
The Bear Haus is where I share a curated collection of pieces made by me. I always feel better when I've been outside, and my work intends to bring a little bit of the feeling of stepping outside into your home.
